Program Description:
This is an application for programs not supported by UAB Education Abroad in a high-risk location.  High-Risk Locations are defined as including all of the following:
  Proposed UAB-related student international travel to any High-Risk Location must be reviewed by the UAB Education Abroad High-Risk Locations Committee.  The committee's review process is initiated when you, the student, complete this program application.  The review process typically takes approximately 3 weeks to complete.  The UAB Education Abroad High-Risk Locations Committee reserves the right to deny requests for travel to such locations.

For you to participate on a program not supported by UAB Education Abroad, you must complete this application, providing detailed information to UAB Education Abroad sufficient to facilitate course articulation, verify academic quality, and register travel plans.

All UAB students traveling internationally are required to purchase education abroad insurance through UAB Education Abroad.  Currently, UAB Education Abroad insurance costs the traveler approximately $50 per month that the traveler is on UAB-related international travel.  Your UAB student account will automatically be billed.
